Bob Skinner's Ski & Sport Shop has been serving Mt. Sunapee skiers for nearly half a century - almost as long as the ski area itself has existed! Owned and managed since 1985 by long time Newport local and former U.S. Ski Team racer Frank MacConnell, Bob Skinner's carries the region's most extensive line of ski gear.

We are experts in improving performance through better fit in all sports including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or any athletic endeavor in which you may participate. With our state-of-the-art boot lab we can customize all kinds of footwear ensuring that whatever you do, you'll do it better and with more comfort.

The Man Behind the Moustache

Frank has owned and managed the shop since 1985. He's a long time Newport local and former U.S. Ski Team racer. He's knows all about ski gear, and ski wear. He personally tests many of the skis in the shop. Frank is an America's Best Bootfitters certified Master Bootfitter. Each year he gets additional advanced training in the most current boot fitting techniques. Frank has been involved in local ski programs since 1975. He is a respected, knowledgeable resource for racers of all ages.
